Regarding the Balearic Islands, Education has indicated that with the Islamic Commission it was agreed that Islam would be taught in a maximum of ten centers in the Balearic Islands, but that the pilot test will only be carried out in two or three schools in Mallorca. For this, one or two teachers will be hired, which the centers will have to share.

The Department has asserted that this month they will specify the centers in which the pilot test will be carried out and that the main criteria that will be followed will be those with the most applications. Regarding hiring, Education will mark as requirements that they have a university degree , that they have completed the master’s degree in access to teaching staff and that they have a Catalan qualification.
